Undergraduate Nursing

Introduction to International Nursing

Through service learning experiences, BSN nursing students have the opportunity to learn about to the processes used by nongovernmental organizations to deliver health care in an international setting. Non-licensed students observe and participate in clinics with those delivering the care. Often these “Wellness Checks” will be arranged in small indigenous primary school communities. These communities and NHI/ACE program participants are able to impact each other in positive ways. Students return home excited about the possibility of helping internationally in their nursing careers.
